Grassland management for efficient animal husbandry

The harrow system introduced by TREFFLER in 2004 has revolutionised the efficiency of mechanical weed control in arable farming. Thanks to the individual tine suspension and central pre-tensioning of each tine, the harrow tines can follow the soil contour and thus always work at the same depth.

The precision tine harrow is gentle on the sward during aeration, as the tines work individually and independently evenly deep in the soil when the ground is uneven. This makes damage to the sward a thing of the past, which is usually a gateway for the germination of weeds or weeds such as dock. At the same time, tillering is stimulated, as the subterranean nodes of the grasses are encouraged to sprout.

Weeds such as common brome should be avoided in a high-yielding and high-quality grassland. Due to the optimal adaptation of the tines to the soil surface, the precision tine harrow enables precise combing out of the common brome and protects the sward.

Optionally, the precision tine harrow can be equipped with a grassland rail. This distributes, for example, molehills and cow pats, solid manure or "slurry sausages". This ensures clean forage with low ash content - a prerequisite for efficient livestock.
